YMCA--Young Married's Class of Alexandria
Click here to learn about YMCA's current
series!
YMCA meets every Sunday
morning from 9:30 am until 10:25 am in the Family Room
(located in the GA Mangun Center). This class, which is under
the direction of Melani Shock, is designed for those who have
been married 0-10 years.
YMCA is exciting! Relevant,
21st-century topics are discussed with relevant Biblical
answers. Lesson topics range from tools to empower the
Christian marriage to simple Biblical discipleship
principles. The class is interactive, and participation is
encouraged. Lesson Sundays are followed the next week by
facilitated group discussion to allow for further exploration
of the lesson topics and their application.
Friendships and relationships
are an integral part of the class. If you are part of YMCA,
make sure you are in one of the YMCA Connect Groups,
small groups of couples of similar age and interests who meet
once each month to enjoy conversation and community with one
another.
Titus/Girl's Night Out,
a special group for the women of YMCA, meets periodically for
discussions or guest lectures on topics ranging from parenting,
to cooking, to decorating, to scrapbooking, and more!
Other classes and activities
are held throughout the year. Occasionally, YMCA meets for
several Wednesday evenings for a mini-series on a specific topic
or book. Favorite annual events include the YMCA Class Picnic
and the Christmas Progressive Supper.
If you've been looking for a
way to connect with other couples in the earlier stages of life
together and build a great Christian marriage God's way, YMCA is
for you!
