Technical Support

Facilitating technical support to the POA, the Technical Support department employs media such as lighting, audio, and video to enhance worship services, seminars, and special events.  The Technical Support department is made up of six divisions:

Audio Services
The Audio Services division not only enhances audio levels to hear the spoken word, music, and lyric, but also amplifies the audio levels to a point that will stimulate the audience to participate at certain times during a given worship service.  This division also records worship services and specialized events for distribution and documentation purposes.  This recorded audio signal is also sent to the video room for recordings.

Lighting
Setting the proper atmosphere and focusing attention on the speaker or main subject, the Lighting division provides appropriate lighting that ranges from "mood' lighting for a prayer meeting to "intelligent" computerized lighting for special events.  There are three teams in the Lighting division: the Worship Service Team, which facilitates all worship services in the main sanctuary; the GAMC Team, which handles all events in the G.A. Mangun Center; and the Special Events Team, which provides lighting support for specialized events such as concerts and Messiah.

Platform Management
The Platform Management Coordinator is a liaison for support during worship services.  Members of this team communicate with the Churchview, Audio Services, Lighting, and Video divisions to keep the service running fluidly and seamlessly by informing all Technical Support divisions of changes from the service agenda and by anticipating spontaneous moments in a worship service.  This team also provides hospitality services to primaries and special guests on the platform.

Technical Engineering
This division is responsible for supplying technical engineering support to the other division of the Technical Support department and assisting other areas on the church campus requiring technical engineering expertise.  This team oversees everything from installing pole banners on the parking lots to rigging delicate intelligent lighting in the Main Sanctuary.

Churchview Media
Three teams (Main Sanctuary Team, GAMC Team, and the POA Campus Churchview) enhance the visual experience of all live events, from Sunday services to concerts and simulcasts by providing visual support on projection screen.  The Main Sanctuary team provides support with scripture projection, video presentation, teleprompting for the platform, cueing for offering, Wonderland needs, PowerPoint presentations, announcements (video and jpegs), projection of lyrics, and image magnification supplied from the video department feed.

The GAMC team provides similar support for all events requiring Churchview in the G.A. Mangun Center.  Primarily, the GAMC team supports RUSH (youth) services each Wednesday night and the Young Adult Class on Sunday mornings.  New trainees begin with the GAMC Team and are then incorporated into the Main Sanctuary Team

The POA Campus Churchivew, the newest team, provides 24-hour visual announcements of events to the POA's members and guests via the monitors around the campus.  Together, these three teams provide visual support and disseminate information across the POA's campus.

Video
The Video division uses video technology to evangelize, instruct, and document the worship services and special events.  A top priority of the Video division is the recording of worship services and specialized events.  This division also edits worship services to accommodate sales and broadcast formats.  Worship services are available both in DVD and VHS formats.
