Men of Influence
Men of Influence (MOI), the Men's Ministry of The POA,
began in March 2003. The
purpose of Men of Influence is to connect men
to God, to their families, to church, and to their careers.
Through special events and activities specifically targeted to men, MOI increases the opportunities for the men of The POA
to make these vital connections. From sessions with
special speakers to prayer meetings to times of fun
activities, the men of the church are
provided with numerous avenues to join in fellowship and to
grow personally and spiritually.
Some of the regular activities of MOI include:
- Men’s Prayer Breakfasts, which provide a time for men of the church to bring their friends and co-workers to The POA as well as to interact with one another and to combine fellowship with a special time of prayer.
- FLC Activities Nights provide men with an evening of organized activities such as volleyball, walleyball, bowling, table games, and ball games in The POA’s Family Life Center.
- Split Sessions occur periodically during Wednesday’s Midweek service and provide special speakers for the men in one location while the women meet in another location for their own session.
- Men’s Prayer Shifts take place approximately once each month and provide a time for the men of the church to bind together in a three-hour prayer shift.
MOI activities are open to all men age 18 and older.
