SEVEN is the outreach and recovery ministry of The Pentecostals of Alexandria to those individuals who are in need of recovery or in recovery, as well as their friends and family members. Whether you yourself are struggling or have struggled with an addiction, or whether you love someone who is or has been an addict, this ministry is for you. For those in recovery and in need of recovery, SEVEN offers weekly meetings on Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Family Room of the GA Mangun Center. These meetings begin with a "big group" session that combines addicts/recovering addicts and family members from 7:00-8:00 pm. Then, from 8:00-9:00 pm, there are separate sessions for each group followed by an informal Coffee House social gathering from 9:00-10:00 pm for anyone who wants to linger for coffee and dessert. Twice a month--on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays -- SEVEN hosts a "Big Group Dinner" from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Family Room (prior to the regular meeting schedule as noted above).  The 2nd Saturday is "Burgers and Birthdays" - a casual meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, and birthday cake as we celebrate the sobriety birthdays of our members.  The 4th Saturday is a catered meal and provides a wonderful additional opportunity for fellowship.
In addition, on Wednesday nights, "Step Studies" are being taught.  Due to the nature of this series of lessons, prior arrangements must be made to attend/participate in the Step Studies. If you are interested in joining a step study group, please e-mail SEVEN. These group sessions create a safe place for those with hurts, hang-ups, and habits to find support and recovery through a 12-Step/8 Biblical Principles program that is modeled after the Celebrate Recovery program. Utilizing CR resources, guidelines for confidentiality and sharing have been established for each meeting. "Our goal is to provide an atmosphere conducive to deliverance and recovery in which the Holy Spirit can minister healing to the hurting and hope to the helpless. . . . Come on in. The coffee is hot. We've been expecting you . . ." (Mark Cross, SEVEN Ministry Leader)
