Family Enrichment Ministry
 

The POA's Family Enrichment Ministry (FEM) provides support and specific Biblical instruction on establishing strong Christian family units in the 21st century.  By aggressively fighting society's anti-Biblical messages, we can strengthen our homes and lead others to Jesus Christ.

The Young Married's Class of Alexandria (YMCA) meets at 9:45 am each Sunday morning in the Family Room (located in the G. A. Mangun Center) and is designed for couples married ten years or less.

A weekend Marriage Retreat is held annually (usually in the fall) to provide couples with a getaway time of specific focus and reconnection to God and to each other.

Periodic Roundtable sessions are held on Wednesday evenings and cover a variety of topics relevant to Christian marriages and parenting. For more information, visit the YMCA class on Sunday mornings.

Pre-Marital Classes are designed to provide a strong foundation for marriage and are required for anyone getting married at the POA or by a minister from the POA.  These are weekend events and occur four times per year.  For more information and/or dates, call 318.445.1085.

The Divorce Recovery Ministry helps the divorced reconnect to the church, grieve losses, and handle the challenges of becoming single again.
